JHFLYCO 101: How to Assemble a Yellowstone II Fly Rod | Jackson Hole Fly Company

In today's JHFLYCO 101 we cover everything you'll need to know as you set up a new Yellowstone II Fly Rod & Grizzly Fly Reel.

Jackson Hole Fly Company's flagship fly rod is our most versatile and popular rod model. The Yellowstone II 9 Fly Rod is capable of handling a wide range of trout flies and fly line densities while maintaining pinpoint accuracy and line control. Its fast action taper allows for greater recovery and quicker tip stop which creates a tighter, more efficient line-loop for all ranges of casting styles.

This taper enables more access to the lower sections of the rod, shifting power closer to the angler while reducing lateral and medial movement as well as vibration, producing a more accurate and efficient presentation. resulting in a performance-driven, forgiving quick action rod that refines the action between the angler, rod, line, and fly.

The Yellowstone II is a high-quality rod made from the finest materials available in today's market and manufactured under strict standards to meet the demands of fly fishers who require superb quality at an affordable price. These rods are constructed of IM8 graphite and include titanium line guides, Portuguese cork grips, and a look-through burled maple reel seat that easily integrates with our Yellowstone Grizzly Fly Reels. These fly rods come in a variety of weights (3-7) and lengths (6'6"-9'0").
