The Full-Length SAM Splint for Larger Injuries
This is the standard 36-inch SAM Splint — a thin aluminum core between two layers of closed-cell foam, flexible until it's curved into shape, at which point it becomes rigid enough to stabilize a fractured limb. At just 4 ounces, it packs flat and cuts to size with ordinary scissors, and can even form an emergency cervical collar for neck injuries.
