The Deer Hair Sparkle Caddis is a dynamic fly pattern designed to mimic the adult caddisfly, a common target for feeding trout. This fly features a body of deer hair, which provides excellent buoyancy and a natural silhouette, coupled with a touch of sparkle to catch the light and mimic the glistening wings of the caddisfly. Ideal for use during caddis hatches, typically in late spring to early summer, it should be fished on the surface with gentle twitches to simulate the fluttering action of the caddis as it tries to escape the water. This technique often triggers an aggressive strike from trout.
