The Historic Baker Tent, Rebuilt for Real Use

The Shanty Shelter is Coalcracker's take on the historic Baker & Whalen tent design — a tarp with sides added, giving more coverage and concealment from wind and weather than a flat tarp setup alone. Every shelter is cut and sewn in-house, start to finish.

Heavy-duty reinforced cloth loops run the full perimeter for tie-outs — no grommets to pop. Two sleeves at the rear center seam let you raise the roof for extra headroom. 8 oz oilcloth, 9' x 9' rear panel footprint, 12 lbs. It also works as a standard tarp by flipping the sides back.
