This dual-sided sharpening stone pairs a medium-grit diamond side (400 grit) for removing material and taking chips out of an axe edge with an extra-fine ceramic side (1000 grit) for nightly touch-ups and fine honing. At 3" x 1" x 0.25" and under 2.25 ounces, there's no real reason to leave it behind.
