The Blood Worm imitates the bright red midge larvae—bloodworms—that carpet the silt of stillwaters and slow river bottoms by the million. A slim red curved body, nothing more, because the natural is exactly that simple.
Bloodworms are winter's reliable protein: when nothing hatches and trout grub the bottom, these hemoglobin-red larvae are what they're finding. Fish it dead-slow near the silt, under an indicator or on a long stillwater leader.
Best for:
- Winter and stillwater bottom feeding
- Silt-bottomed lakes and slow pools
- Midge-larva drifts year-round
📌 Pro Tip: In stillwater, hang it inches off the silt under an indicator and do nothing—bloodworms wiggle in place, and the take is a slow tightening, not a strike.
