QuikClot Combat Gauze is a 3" x 4-yard z-folded strip of soft, nonwoven gauze impregnated with kaolin — an inorganic mineral that accelerates the body's own clotting cascade. It is the standard for junctional and truncal wounds where a tourniquet is not an option: groin, armpit, neck, shoulder.

Kaolin carries no animal, plant, or human proteins and produces no exothermic reaction — no burn risk, no allergy concern. The gauze is flexible enough to pack and contour to a wound, and it holds together under pressure instead of shredding. An X-ray detectable strip confirms removal.
