The Madam X is a high-floating, versatile attractor dry fly that imitates a range of terrestrials including hoppers, stoneflies, and large caddisflies. With its bushy profile, rubber legs, and buoyant deer hair wing, it creates a natural disturbance on the water's surface that draws aggressive strikes from trout. Originally tied as a stonefly imitation, the Madam X has become a go-to fly in the summer and early fall when fish are feeding opportunistically.
