The Black Fin Diver is the night-shift diving fly: a dark sloped head that pulls under on the strip and rises on the pause, trailing full black marabou with kicking legs. Silhouette below the surface, then silhouette breaking it—twice the profile per retrieve.
Dark divers are deadly in low light because the dive-and-rise puts the fly's outline against the sky from underneath at the top of every cycle. Bass and pike strike the rise more than the dive.
