The Solomon Caddis is a hair-wing caddis with judgment built in: an olive body under a downswept brown deer-hair wing and brown hackle. The down-wing profile splits the difference between fluttering and resting—the posture of a caddis deciding what to do next.

It excels as the in-between caddis: more realistic than a bushy Elk Hair, more buoyant than a flat tent-wing, and right at home on medium-speed water.
