The Renegade Nymph sinks the fore-and-aft classic: brown hackle at the rear, white at the front, peacock herl between, fished wet. The two hackle collars pulse and trap bubbles, imitating an emerging or drowned cluster of small insects.

The Renegade has caught trout for over a century in every presentation; sunk and dead-drifted, it reads as a drowned midge cluster or emerging caddis the fish rarely refuse.
