The Rat Face McDougal is the Catskill take on unsinkable: a clipped cream deer-hair body under ginger hackle and pale wings. Born on the Beaverkill for fast pocket water, it floats like cork while keeping the proportions of a proper mayfly dry.

Its blend of buoyancy and pale natural tones lets it double as a Cahill or sulphur on water too rough for delicate ties—the dry that bridges hatch-matching and whitewater.
