The Grizzly Adams leans the world's favorite dry fly toward its barred half: a tan-gray body under predominantly grizzly hackle. The extra barring breaks the silhouette into the flickering, leggy footprint that reads as motion even on a dead drift.

It covers the same enormous range as the standard Adams—most mayflies, many midges—with a touch more buzz in the hackle for riffled water.
