The Chamois Nymph uses a strip of soft chamois leather for the body—a material that goes translucent and wiggles when wet, imitating a caddis larva or crane fly larva with uncanny realism. Simple, durable, and deadly on selective fish.
The wet chamois undulates with the current the way a soft-bodied larva does, a movement stiff dubbing can't replicate.
Best for:
- Caddis and crane-fly larva water
- Spring creeks and tailwaters
- Dead-drift bottom presentations
📌 Pro Tip: Soak it before the first cast—dry chamois is stiff and pale, but wet it turns translucent and floppy, exactly like the living larva.
