The Black Stimulator is the dark horse of the Stimulator family: black body and hackle with a hot red butt and a smoke-dark wing. It matches the black stoneflies and big dark caddis of early season, and throws the strongest silhouette in the lineup when light goes flat.

Dark flies own dark days—overcast skies, shaded canyons, and the first stonefly activity of late winter all favor this colorway over the brighter originals.
